The Forge is a delightful former blacksmith’s cottage that dates back to the 18th century that sits in the grounds of The Smithy. 

The Forge has been a self-catering holiday cottage since 2002 with many guests returning year after year. It has a private lawned garden, small patio area with table and chairs for al fresco dining, a small back yard and space for parking 3 cars. This country property is perfect for couples, a family or for anyone who wants to holiday with their pets. This spacious cottage is warm and welcoming and has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday in this beautiful part of the Worcestershire.

There is a lovely entrance porch which leads straight into a beamed living room with comfy seating and a fabulous wood burning stove (fuel is provided free). There is a lovely dining area with a table and chairs and a spacious farmhouse style fully fitted kitchen with the added bonus of a washing machine and dishwasher! The ground floor also has a large twin bedroom and family bathroom with a bath and shower.

A quaint spiral staircase leads up to a cosy galleried first floor bedroom with velux windows, a beautiful Victorian Antique double bed and a bright private bathroom.

This property offers a 'home from home' atmosphere, with lots of helpful information about the local area all designed to help you get the very best from your visit. The beautiful Malvern Hills are just a short drive away and offer spectacular walks and views across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. The Three Counties Show ground is just 5 minutes away and Great Malvern and Upton on Severn, which sits on the river Severn, are within easy driving distance. Other places of interest are Eastnor Castle, Croombe Park, Ledbury, Tewkesbury and the City of Worcester with it's fantastic Cathedral.

The Forge is walking distance from the very pretty village of Hanley Swan, which has a friendly village shop, duck pond, village green and a high quality country pub called The Swan Country Inn. The pub offers excellent food all day (except Sunday evening) and is good for a quiet drink or for a lunchtime or evening meal.
